Know what you use,
waste less, spend better.
Inventory that works with your billing. When a dish sells, its ingredients come off stock automatically. Record purchases, track suppliers, get low-stock alerts and see where your kitchen money actually goes — across one branch or many.
Inventory is worth it only if it is kept up to date. We help you start simple so it actually gets used.
Start simple, or go full recipe-level
You do not have to track everything from day one. Most restaurants start light and expand once the habit of recording stock is in place.
Light stock tracking
Track a handful of high-value or fast-moving items — paneer, oil, rice, gas — with purchases, current stock and low-stock alerts. Little setup, little daily effort, and it still catches the leaks that cost you the most.
The sensible place to start for most single restaurants.
Full recipe-level inventory
Every dish has a recipe, so selling it deducts each ingredient automatically. Add purchase orders, suppliers, wastage and stock counts for a complete picture of kitchen cost — across branches if you run more than one.
For restaurants ready to maintain it properly and control food cost in detail.
What the inventory module does
Built to connect with your billing, so your sales and your stock stay in step.
Ingredient stock
Track raw materials and their quantities in the units you buy them — kg, litre, packet.
Recipe-based deduction
Set each dish's recipe once, and selling it removes those ingredients from stock automatically.
Purchases & suppliers
Record stock as it arrives, keep supplier details, and see what you are spending over time.
Low-stock alerts
Get warned before a key item runs out, so you reorder in time instead of mid-service.
Wastage tracking
Record spoilage and mistakes, so wastage is visible and can be brought down rather than guessed at.
Stock counts
Do periodic physical counts and reconcile them against what the system expects, to stay accurate.
Daily sold-out limits
Set how many of a dish you have today; it marks itself sold out when finished — already in the ordering system.
Branch stock
Per-branch stock, with central purchasing and transfers if that is how you actually buy.
Cost reports
See usage and cost trends to control food cost, and export the figures for your accountant.
Works best alongside our restaurant POS and QR ordering system, so sales, recipes and stock all stay connected.
Pricing is quoted, not packaged
The cost of inventory depends entirely on how detailed you need it. A few tracked items is a small job; full recipe-level tracking across branches is a bigger one. Tell us what you want to track and you get a written quotation.

What this is, and what it is not
You should expect
- Automatic stock deduction when dishes with recipes are sold
- A setup matched to how you actually buy and cook
- Advice to start simple so it genuinely gets maintained
- Clean cost and usage data, exportable at any time
- Support over WhatsApp, built and run from Trichy
You should be honest about
- It needs upkeep. Purchases, wastage and stock counts are entered by hand — inventory with stale data is worse than none
- Recipe setup takes real effort and chef knowledge, one time, before automatic deduction works
- It is not accounting software and does not handle supplier payments
- It works best connected to billing; without it, usage must be entered manually
How we set it up with you
We deliberately start small, so the system is used rather than abandoned.
- 1
We agree what to track
Rather than everything at once, we pick the items that cost you the most or run out most — the ones worth watching first.
- 2
Set up items and units
Each tracked ingredient goes in with the unit you buy it in, and your suppliers are recorded.
- 3
Add recipes where it pays off
For automatic deduction, we set recipes for your main dishes with your chef's input. This is where the one-time effort goes.
- 4
Connect to billing
Linked to your POS, so selling a dish deducts its ingredients and usage tracks itself from real sales.
- 5
Train and settle the habit
We show staff how to record purchases, wastage and counts, and stay reachable while the routine beds in.
Restaurant inventory management in Trichy and across Tamil Nadu
For most restaurants, ingredient cost is the biggest expense you can actually control. A little wastage on every dish, a little over-purchasing every week, a slow leak of stock that nobody notices — across a year, and across branches, it adds up to real money. Inventory management makes that money visible, which is the first step to keeping more of it.
The honest truth about restaurant inventory is that it only works if it is kept up to date. Usage can be automatic — when a dish has a recipe and is sold through your billing, its ingredients come off stock on their own. But purchases, wastage and stock counts are entered by hand, because software cannot know a vegetable delivery arrived unless someone records it. That is why we push most restaurants to start simple, tracking a few high-value items, rather than building a detailed system that goes stale in a month.
Set up well, it earns its place. Recipe-based deduction shows your true food cost per dish. Low-stock alerts stop the mid-service scramble when a key item runs out. Purchase and supplier records show what you are spending and with whom. Wastage tracking turns a vague sense that too much is being thrown away into a number you can act on. For multi-branch restaurants, per-branch stock and central purchasing show which outlet is running efficiently and which is not.
Inventory works best as part of one connected system. Linked to our restaurant POS and QR ordering, your sales, recipes and stock stay in step without double entry, and everything lives in one place you own rather than several disconnected tools.
Zenoratech builds and supports this from Trichy, so setup and training happen with a person who understands how a local kitchen actually runs, and support comes from someone who answers WhatsApp during your service. For restaurants elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, setup and training run remotely and support works the same way. We will tell you honestly whether inventory is worth it for your restaurant yet — and if it is, how to start small enough that it sticks.
Questions owners ask us
Does stock reduce automatically when a dish is sold?
Yes, when the dish has a recipe set up and is sold through the system. Selling one biryani deducts the rice, vegetables and other ingredients in its recipe. Purchases, transfers and physical stock counts are entered by hand — a computer only knows stock came in if someone records it — so inventory stays accurate through a mix of automatic deduction and regular manual entry.
How much data entry does inventory really need?
Be realistic before you commit to it. There is a one-time setup where every ingredient and each dish's recipe is entered, which needs chef knowledge. Then there is ongoing entry: recording purchases when stock arrives, noting wastage, and doing periodic stock counts. Usage deducts automatically, but the rest is manual. Inventory is only worth having if someone will keep it updated.
Can we start simple instead of tracking every ingredient?
Yes, and we usually recommend it. Start by tracking a few high-value or fast-moving items — paneer, oil, rice — rather than every spice. A lighter setup gives most of the benefit for a fraction of the upkeep, and you can expand once the habit is in place.
Do all branches buy separately, or from one central store?
Both models are possible. Per-branch purchasing, where each branch records its own stock, is simpler and is where most restaurants start. Central purchasing with transfers to branches is more powerful but adds a transfer step and more data entry. We set it up to match how you actually buy — tell us and we will advise honestly.
Does it need the POS or can it work alone?
It works best connected to billing, because that is what lets usage deduct automatically as dishes sell. It can be set up alongside our POS so sales, recipes and stock all talk to each other. Without connected billing you would be entering usage by hand, which is far more work.
Will it do full accounting or supplier payments?
No. Inventory tracks stock, purchases, suppliers and cost trends, and exports clean data for your accountant. It is not accounting software and does not handle supplier payments or your books.
What does it cost?
Inventory is quoted separately from billing, because the price depends on how detailed you need it — a few tracked items costs far less than full ingredient-level recipe tracking across branches. Message us with what you want to track and you get a written quotation.
